Tree Collards

A perennial kale-like plant that will not survive winters in our area without a little protection. I cut back the main stalks, which can reach 6′ tall in one season, and bend the plants over to the ground. I then cover with a thick layer of mulch. Can also be propagated by cuttings. Especially delicious after frost in fall. Meaty and best cooked in soups, stews and stir-fry! RARE
