Tuxpeño Veracruzaño

This corn was part of the 2020 Michiana Heritage Corn Project. The seed was sent to me from Stephen Smith. This is a very late maturing Mexican landrace corn and only produced a few ears in mid-October. This is one of the tallest corns I have ever grown here in Indiana and the girth of the stalks was unbelievable at 3 inches across at the base. This variety also had numerous sets of aerial roots as far as 3 foot up the plants stalk.
