Glycine max 100 days
Ugra is one of the soybeans I trialed this last summer (2014). This variety is determinate with small, compact plants reaching about 20” in height. It is an early variety and contains 43% protein and 19% oil. Ugra was developed in Sweden by crossing ‘Wisconsin Black’ with ‘Brunatna Vilenska’ (a Polish variety). I found it a little tough to thresh by hand. The seed was good quality with few splits or blemishes.
