Squash and Pumpkin

Squash (cucurbits) easily cross pollinate and require 1/4 mile to 1 mile of separation between varieties of the same species, in order to maintain seed purity. There are four main species, C. pepo, C. mochata, C. maxima and C. argyrosperma, which can be grown side by side without crossing.
