I have very little information on this variety. I picked up some seed at the Fall Harvest Festival (2015) at the Jijak Foundation in Hopkins Michigan. The Jijak Foundation is part of the Gun Lake Band of Potawatomi Indians. I suspect that this is a heirloom Native American cultivar.
The fruits were quite large, weighing in at about 24 pounds each. The flesh is red and very sweet. The vines were disease free. This is not a compact variety and tended to have long and sprawling vines. I will further update this page if I come across any more historical information.
